Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Personal Budgetting is a private budgeting setup run by one individual for their own household. It has no users other than the operator, no sign-up, and no commercial purpose.

What data is processed

Account details and transaction data belonging to the operator's own bank accounts, retrieved through Enable Banking's account information service after the operator explicitly authorises access at their bank. This covers account identifiers such as IBAN, balances, transaction amounts and dates, counterparty names and payment references.

Why it is processed

Solely to categorise the operator's own spending in a self-hosted budgeting application. The data is never used for profiling, advertising, scoring or any automated decision making.

Where it is stored

On hardware owned and operated by the operator, at their home address in Belgium. Data is not stored with any cloud provider and is not transmitted to any third party. The only outbound connection is to Enable Banking's API in order to retrieve the operator's own data.

Sharing

No data is shared, sold or disclosed to anyone. There are no analytics, no trackers and no cookies on this website.

Retention

Transaction data is retained for as long as the operator keeps their budget history, and can be deleted by them at any time. Bank access consent expires automatically after the period set by the bank, typically 90 to 180 days, and must be renewed by re-authorising at the bank.

Your rights

As the only data subject is the operator themselves, requests under the GDPR are handled directly by them. Access granted to bank accounts can be withdrawn at any time, either in the bank's own interface or by deleting the session through Enable Banking.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to the operator at [email protected].
